Why Ratatouille?

“Ratatouille” comes from the traditional French Provençal vegetable stew that originated in the region of Nice. It is known for its colorful and flavorful combination of vegetables, typically including eggplant, zucchini, bell peppers, onions, garlic, and tomatoes. The vegetables are usually sliced and arranged in a visually appealing pattern, then seasoned with herbs such as thyme, rosemary, and basil. The dish is often cooked slowly to allow the flavors to meld together. Ratatouille can be served as a side dish, main course, or even as a filling for savory pies. It's a popular and very healthy dish, showcasing the abundance of fresh produce in Mediterranean cuisine.
